Skin contact: remove contaminated clothing and wash with plenty of flowing water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.

Eye contact: lift the eyelids and wash with flowing water or normal saline for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention. Inhalation: quickly leave the site to fresh air, and clean the inner wall of nose with wet cotton swab. Keep respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, perform artificial respiration immediately. Get medical attention.

Ingestion: rinse mouth with water and drink milk or egg white. Get medical attention.

Sodium nitrate fire fighting measures

Hazard characteristics: strong oxidant. In case of a combustible fire, it can promote the fire. Contact with easy oxide, sulfur, sodium bisulfite, reducing agent and strong acid can cause combustion or explosion. During combustion and decomposition, toxic nitrogen oxide gas is released. It is decomposed by high heat to produce toxic nitrogen oxides.

Harmful combustion products: nitrogen oxides.

Fire fighting method: fire fighters shall wear gas masks and full body fire suits to put out the fire in the upwind direction. Fog water and sand. Do not shoot the water directly to the melt, so as to avoid serious flowing fire or severe boiling.
